I'm so glad I decided to check out the whole series from the library. Fourth book, here I fcking come.

I so loved this book. It just keeps getting better and better. Barrons? I'm not denying my attraction for you anymore. It may not be good for me, but screw it, I'm ready to screw you.

4 stars. While I expected to like Darkfever, I didn't expect to love it this much!

And yes, to much of my dismay, I find Jericho Barrons extremely attractive. (Which is horrible because I like gentlemen! Not guys who bruise girls! But whatever!) I mean, even the name is making me want to cover my blushing face.

2.5 stars. Okay, so, personally I found this whole book to be predictable and cheesy. I figured out who the mystery monster was about half of the way through. Also, I didn't really like Juliet either.

Honestly, not what I was expecting, but whatevs.

3.5 stars. Immortal Beloved was a great, entertaining read, but when I think back on it nothing really ever happened and the book was pretty predictable.

2 stars. I think the topic of "coming out" was great, but the book overall was just pretty boring.

4.5 stars. So, I have a weakness.

A really big, self-deprecating weakness.

I really, really like the arrogant, jackasses named Duke.

And in this instance, it was not much of a surprise: I really, really liked Duke, the football champion of his school with the sexy, sweet smile and a tad bit of mysterious persona. But maybe I didn't love him enough, because once Duke and Addison hooked up (and I use that term lightly) - I kinda, sorta lost interest in him.

AND I WAS AN IDIOT.

Because, I mean, hello, why wouldn't anyone love a guy with brown hair and brown eyes and works as a library aid in a library? Who likes to passes notes and roleplay as a freakin' zombie-assassin-hirer? Who's a pacifist and doesn't bother battling it out with Duke when the truth was out? Who loves to draw and is so honest and humble about his stupid, amazing drawings?

I MEAN, DID I MENTION I WAS A FREAKIN' IDIOT? BECAUSE I WAS.

In the end, it was a tad bit predictable where the story was going in terms of Duke's path. However, that death was unexpected. I'm very excited to see where the next book picks up!

Anyway, enough about me, what about this book? This book of vampires and gore and creepy little towns run by these bloodsuckers? Well, ladies and gentlemen, this small town is actually known as Morganville, located in, yep, you guessed it, Texas.

(Like, I would totally visit Morganville just for the hell of it.)

In a nutshell, Claire is actually a super smart, super A student that goes to college in this small town -- no joke, she's sixteen-years-old and in her first year of college. (Yay, smart heroine!) However, as she continues to get bullied by a group of girls, she later seeks respite in a big old mansion actually named the Glass House, where she meets guitarist Michael, gothic Eve, and funny (but overprotective) Shane.

Actually, to be honest, if you asked me about this book, I would tell you it was mediocre. I hadn't really even wanted to start it at first, and by the time I got in the middle it was in the middle-interest area, and remained that way throughout the rest of the book. It's just one of those series, it looks like, that you would pass time with.

All in all, a great time-spender.

So I feel horribly horrible about never finishing The Great Gatsby , but I thought I might as well dnf the book rather than prolonging it to the next I might receive the book in my hands.

So. In other words: THE GREAT GATSBY IS CURRENTLY ON HOLD.

3.5 stars. To be honest, this book started out as a five star for me, especially when Kyle entered the picture and the sexual tension was amazing between him and Val with her hard-to-get and not-falling-for-your-arrogance attitude! I found myself immensely enjoying Val's character. However, the story ended up losing its steam in some ways which I'll hopefully explain when I write my review.

And by the way, what type of epilogue was that? NO! NO! I need closure, not some type of open ending! Grr.

3 stars. What a nice heroine! Enjoyed Jade Moon's story.

2.5 stars. I'm actually not sure if I should leave this on my read shelf, or move it to the dnf one. Because, technically, I did finish it.

I finished it enough to give it a rating.

I ended up not wanting to read the last two chapters — don't kill me don't kill me don't kill me — and I normally never do that — but I did read the ending summaries on SparkNotes and skimmed a few pages afterwards. I found a particularly huge scene in chapter fourteen anticlimactic, and I'm not sure if I should classify the ending that ended with a bang. Because it didn't. Not really. But I had shivers down my spine, nonetheless.

The 2.5 star rating isn't necessarily because the book was bad or anything — no, no, do not fret Ender lovers. I just found the whole book a total snooze fest. But, truth be told, judging from the influx of ratings and reviews, this book may just be either your type or not.

In my case, it was not.

I am, however, excited for the movie!

4.5 stars. Kasie West is a brilliant author.

Contrary to the majority, my first book was The Distance Between Us, while for others it was Pivot Point (which was my second!), and I knew if I didn't know West before, I was in love with her now. Maybe not with any of her other books, but definitely for TDBU.

Let me just start out by saying I've never really met such a snarky, spunky, and sarcastic heroine like Caymen. She's not like any other. Even my most favorite heroines were ones that were vulnerable with a bit of spice, and that hid behind a mask. Caymen? Caymen uses sarcasm and works with bite to hide what she's feeling.

And I really, really liked that.

The story was amazingly cute, with a great finale - I mean, who else doesn't want to know that they're from a freakin', spoiled-rich family? PLEASE LET THAT HAPPEN TO ME! - that spent butterfly twinkles all the way down to my toes.

Xander was amazingly supportive, and not at all a douche as I would've expected from someone of his position.

Caymen, well, you were sometimes stubborn, but I loved you for it. I loved the way you pushed away Xander, but no matter what, you guys ended up floating towards each other anyway.

It was a very great, cute, and refreshing read. I am very excited to read more books by this author!

That being said, I do this because I love you and your awesomeness and the only way I can express my undying devotion and adoration to you other than bowing to you is through cursing and swearing — at you, namely and unfortunately — so I apologize severely in advance.

Because I do love you. I do. Immensely. Even though you are the most sadistic author I have ever come across.

BUT IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. Kanin was an amazing character; I loved him. I just do. I now completely understand why Kanin and Allison don't connect like Zeke and Allison do. They are made for each other. I am now wholeheartedly Zeke x Allison. I am sorry I wasn't there for you in book one, Zeke. BUT I AM NOW. SO FORGIVE ME. PLEASE.

ALLISON, YOU BADASS VAMPIRE BLOODSUCKING CREATURE. I love you so much. I just — I'm even considering this book is rivaling up against The Iron Fey, and that is one of my toppity of the tops. It's that good.

Jackal, or should I say James, you bastard, I thought I would hate you after what you did to Darren. But, against all odds, you and I connected. Horribly so, I admit. Your dry humor was, at times, the only reason I kept pushing on when Allison's life got too much for me.

ZEKE OMG PLEASE BE OKAY.

There were so many beautiful moments, so many stupid twists, and so much hope. Only to be fcking crushed in the end, thank you very much sadistic Julie. I hope this story has a happy ending. Because if it doesn't, I swear to God I will go Sarren on JK and track her down and make her rewrite the ending. I swear I will. It may take me years, it may put me in jail, BUT I WILL JULIE. I WILL COME FOR YOU AND MAKE YOU PAY.
