I know this is some modern-classic (oxymoron?) so saying that I didn't like it is kind of weird. It's like saying I don't like Harry Potter, or, even worse, Jane Austen or Emily Bronte.
But here it is.
I didn't like it.
Not a lot, at least. It was okay, and while I certainly enjoyed the movie, I don't think I'm into this cynical, bitter Melinda. Which makes me a cold, bitterfrosted reader, yes, I'm aware. But how can I understand when I've never been in these situations myself? And frankly, I couldn't connect with Mel. I know lots of people enjoy this book (some for the sake that giving it a 'bad star' looks bad) but I just wasn't one of those people.
It wasn't you, Mel. It was me.
