3.5 stars. As compared to Tiger's Curse, Tiger's Quest was much better as a sequel! However I did have some pet peeves. And some good points.
◦ There was no need for a beginning. No need for a Kelsey harem with at least, oh I don't know, four guys chasing after her. And as I have read the third book, I still do not understand the significance of so many "boyfriends" for Kelsey to reach a reliable decision to pick Ren. And it was so obvious, too.
◦ The lack of Ren in this book was refreshing. Don't get me wrong, if I had to choose, it'd be Team Ren, but I'm glad we got to explore another character, Ren's brother, Kishan.
◦ Kelsey was surprisingly non-mopey throughout the whole book. And the fact that she was very determined was a great quality.
All in all, Tiger's Quest was much better than its prequel! The characters were developed and they matured, the same way the plot moved forward.
